Compare When You Shop
I suspect most people know this, but make sure you check discounts at both Amazon and B&N when planning to buy a title. They discount books differently, at least when a title first comes out. I put a 40% wholesale discount on one recent text, and B&N now discounts it 20%; Amazon has no discount, and they probably won't put one on until a few initial copies have sold there. (Looks like copies sold for that title have all been through B&N...) On the other hand, once a title has sold a number of copies on Amazon, you might get better discounts there. (And, if the Mussels book is any indication, the discounting can change drastically back and forth...)
