Newspaper comic figures have a long history in newspaper publishing. Near the end of the nineteenth century, a cohesive pattern of comic panels and comic strips emerged. Early in the twentieth century, syndication allowed popular strips to be offered to a wider variety of newspapers.

Some comics were funnier than others, some were better drawn, but all provide a fascinating look at the progress of comic art. I hope to be able to provide a number of compilations of daily black-and-white strips and panels, should the market be viable.
