Finch-like Birds in Early Aviculture

UK naturalist and bird-fancier Arthur G. Butler compiled notes on behavior and natural history of finches, cardinals, tanagers, buntings, munias, mannikins, and more, with an emphasis on their care in the home aviary.

While avicultural care has come a long way since Butler's day (this is a reprint of the second edition, from 1899), there is quite a bit of interesting material for the bird-hobbyist.

Also included are the full-color plates by naturalist-artist F. W. Frohawk which accompany the text. All 60 plates are included. These are also available separately as Imagekind giclée prints.
