Playing with a Magician's Wand Can Lead to Trouble...W. O. Wilson's classic newspaper comic is delightfully detailed compared to the simplicity of modern comic strips. The hijinks of Madge as she plays with a magician's wand are a fun precursor to many of the children's fantasy novels today. |

| Publisher's Note:
While I had intended to produce this as a standard large-format paperback, the print quality of the original scans (collected and compiled from a Library of Congress database) was horrible. I'm still not sure why they don't print effectively, as the originals were 300 dpi grayscale, but in any case, rather than discard the project entirely, I'm offering it as a free (though sizable, even after optimization and subsampling) PDF download. I should also note that the original comics were in color, but the LOC scans were only available in grayscale. Still, it offers a great look at the detail and care put into the early comics. |
